European Stocks Drift Higher

London’s FTSE 100 gained 0.6%, with the Paris CAC 40 up 0.3%. Frankfurt’s DAX slipped 0.1% into the red, while the pan-European Stoxx 600 rose 0.1%.

“European shares edged up on better than feared Retail Sales and a very strong German Manufacturing Orders Report,” said Tom Essaye, founder of Sevens Report Research.
